SEMI-FIXED IMPLANT OVERDENTURE
WHAT IS A SEMI-FIXED IMPLANT OVERDENTURE?
–
These dentures are retained by clips or bars or fasteners attached to implants. These dentures can be removed by the patient for cleaning.Semi-fixed implant dentures are a fantastic treatment option for individuals who are looking to replace their teeth in the upper or lower jaws. It also carries an advantage of securing multiple dental implants and making them extremely difficult to dislodge while speaking and eating.
FIXED HYBRID DENTURE
–
non-removable dentures that consist of a row of prosthetic teeth connected to a framework that is held in position by dental implants.
WHAT IS A FIXED HYBRID DENTURE?
–
The fixed hybrid denture is designed for patients missing all their teeth but wanting something more similar to their natural teeth. A hybrid overdenture is a full denture (including prosthetic teeth and gum tissue) that completely covers the upper (maxillary) or lower (mandibular) alveolar ridge and is firmly anchored to the jawbone with dental implants. This type of denture can only be removed by a dentist. Along with possessing superior stability, hybrid dentures are less bulky than overdentures. The decrease in bulk allows more room for the tongue but at the same time provides less support for the lips.
